Detroit Rock City
Detroit Rock City (formally know as National Downhill) start at the end of Schleyer.
The fist part of this trail is straight rock single track that soon dives into the trees where you come across a few steep sections that can either be dropped or rolled.
You then come to the first technical part of the trail that is a short bridge that drops you into a steep rocky chute type of thing that has a drop at the end before spitting you out onto a ski run.
From here you dart back into the trees where have your first decision to make. That is to hit the Large near vertical rock roll into small step up or bypass it by taking the easy route.
From there continue along the trail where you will cross Clown Shoes, then you will come to a steep rock which at the top has a step to get onto. The Rock has a cleft hand corner that takes you into some steep single track that is littered with loose shale fore taking you over some rather large roots.
To continue on Detroit Rock City stay to the left as Clown Shoes is on the right, do the small drop and cross over the ski run where you will join Lower Whistler Down Hill for 1 or 2 turns then come back out on to the ski run and go down the long steep bank that is rock at the top that leads into slippery loose dirt then connect up with Clown Shoes and Lower Joyride and continue to the bottom on Heart of Darkness, the Boneyard or Monkey Hands.
